About me
Damien
Miller-McAndrews is a Threat Researcher at Obsidian Security,
investigating how attackers turn SaaS, identity, and social engineering
into fast-moving breaches. He publishes research and practical insights
to help security and IT teams better detect, respond to, and prevent
modern attacks. He’s been called a “Business Email Compromise expert”
for his work helping organizations build the tools and knowledge needed
to tackle BEC.Damien is also passionate about supporting newcomers to
cybersecurity via mentorship, and advocates for empathy and compassion
as core professional skills. He serves on the Skills Alberta technical
committee for the IT Networking competition, helping design and run the
post-secondary event. When he’s not working, he’s spending time with his
pets, bouncing between a never-ending list of crafty hobbies, and
getting into trouble on the internet.
